‘A Lending Hand’ Organisation visits 4th – 6th classes

Ciara from A Lending Hand Organisation visited the boys from 4th to 6th classes to talk to them about the annual backpack appeal we take part in. The boys were asked to fill an old or new backpack with everyday necessities – gloves, hats, snood, toothpaste, soap, toothbrush etc along with a treat. These backpacks will then be collected by A Lending Hand and distributed amongst homeless men and women during the Christmas period. This will be the 4th year we have taken part. Dear Parents, As per holiday schedule the school will close for Summer holidays on Friday, June 29th at 12.00 noon.  It will re-open on Friday, August 31st at 8.50 for all pupils.  Normal school closing times will apply on August 31st with Senior Infants going home at 13.30 and the remainder of the classes finishing at 14.30, with the exception of the First classes, who will finish at 13.30 on Friday, August 31st and Monday, September 3rd as they are often overwhelmed by the longer day.
