Johnstown Boys National School visitor car parking utilises the church carpark at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel – located on Churchview Road, close to the junction of Churchview Road with Watson Road.

N.B.
The small car park – located in the school grounds – is strictly for use by JBNS teachers only.

Directions from M50 Southbound (towards Bray)

  1. Exit the M50 at Junction 16 for Cherrywood
  2. At the top of the off-ramp, turn left.
  3. Continue straight for 1.2 km (0.7 miles) until you cross the N11 via flyover.
  4. You are now on Wyatville Road.
  5. Continue straight on Wyatville Road (which becomes Church Road) for 2.1 km (1.3 miles).
  6. Turn left onto Churchview Road when you see the sign for Watsons Estate.
  7. Continue down Churchview Road for about 300 metres, the Church will appear on the right.

Directions from M11 Northbound (from Bray)

  1. Continue on M11 until roundabout at Loughlinstown.
  2. Continue straight, past the ‘Silver Tassie’ public house on the left.
  3. After the Silver Tassie, follow the sign for Dun Laoghaire turning left onto the ramp.
  4. At the top of the ramp turn left onto the R118. Continue straight over the N11 via flyover.
  5. You are now on Wyatville Road.
  6. Continue straight on Wyatville Road (which becomes Church Road) for 2.1 km (1.3 miles).
  7. Turn left onto Churchview Road when you see the sign for Watsons Estate.
  8. Continue down Churchview Road for about 300 metres, the Church will appear on the right.

Directions from Stillorgan

  1. Take the Stillorgan Road (N11) southbound.
  2. Continue straight on N11, passing Cornelscourt Shopping Centre on the right.
  3. Approx. 1 kilometre after Dunnes Stores (Cornelscourt Shopping Centre), take a left turn onto Johnstown Road.
  4. Continue all the way to to the end of Johnstown Road, then turn right onto Rochestown Avenue.
  5. Continue straight on Rochestown Avenue, (passing Rochestown Lodge Hotel on the right) until the roundabout at ‘The Graduate’ Public House.
  6. Take the third exit off the roundabout onto Church Road for about 200 metres.
  7. Follow the sign for Watsons Estate and turn right onto Churchview Road.
  8. The Church will appear on the right after 300 metres approx.

Directions from Blackrock

  1. Take the Blackrock bypass southbound.
  2. Do not take the turns for Dun Laoghaire or Monkstown.
  3. Continue straight past these two junctions and continue past the junction with Newtownpark Avenue.
  4. Shortly after the junction with Newtownpark Avenue, you will see a sign for Killiney and Dalkey pointing left.
  5. Turn left and continue down Stradbrook Road until the roundabout.
  6. At the roundabout, continue straight onto Abbey Road and soon you will pass the ‘Texaco’ Service Station.
  7. At the end of Abbey Road, continue straight passing ‘Bakers Corner’ Public House.
  8. Very quickly, you will come to a fork in the road, at the ‘Paddy Power’ Bookmakers.
  9. Keep left onto Rochestown Avenue.
  10. Continue straight on Rochestown Avenue (which is long and straight!), passing Dun Laoghaire Rehabilitation Hospital and then Rochestown Lodge Hotel (both on the right), until the roundabout at ‘The Graduate’ Public House.
  11. Take the third exit off the roundabout onto Church Road for about 200 metres.
  12. Follow the sign for Watsons Estate and turn right onto Churchview Road.
  13. The Church will appear on the right after 300 metres approx.

BTW – If you reach Tesco in Ballybrack – from Wyattville Rd, go past the Tesco Car Park and continue forward on Churchview Road, passing by Seapoint Rugby Club on your left, on up the hill to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, again on your left – it’s about about 1 kilometre up Churchview Road from the Tesco car park.
